Kikin is searching for a Communication & Social Media Evangelist to help spread the word about us. This is an opportunity to revolutionize online navigation, services, and media as we know it.
We are looking for a self-starter that will structure and implement our communications and outreach strategy, publish on our blog and interact with our users to better understand what matters to them.
The successful candidate has worked with small and highly dynamic teams before – ideally in a startup environment. They are active users of social media platforms to interact with friends and professional contacts. They blog, microblog and/or twitter both at home and on the go. They are interested in innovative ways of discovering content on the web and are experimenting with different ways to communicate and share.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for kikin’s communication strategy
• Stay in touch with kikin’s users, fans, followers of our blog, Twitter account and Facebook Fanpage
• Answer incoming questions and support users, fans and press
• Perform user interviews and surveys
• Act as the users’ advocate on the team
Experience Guidelines (some of this should apply to you):
• BA/BS from a four-year institution in a related field
• 2+ years writing/publishing experience on own blog or other digital media site
• Active user of social media / real-time media platforms
• PR experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, both individually and in a team setting
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Highly analytical, logical, and good problem solver
• Great interpersonal communication skills; will get along with a variety of personalities
• Excellent writing skills
